Bioreactor Characterization – Asset Library

Before we get into what’s the need for an Asset Library, let’s revisit the importance of Asset Characterization in technology transfer and Scale Up Process!

Asset Characterization is an important step in determining the process performance capability of an equipment. Using Computational Tools / Software to characterize assets has reduced considerable time in planning future projects.

Asset Characterization process of a Bioreactor typically consists of parameter sweeps of various Process Variables like Impeller SpeedLiquid ViscosityLiquid DensityLiquid Volume etc. which can quickly amount to large datasets for an asset.

Tridiagonal’s new offering SimSight aims at providing seamles integration of Asset Characterization data and Process Insights (Process Metrics). SimSight while providing an one stop storage and viewing of all the characterization data in an orderly fashion, also enables users to navigate through the design space and predict / interpolate on newer data points, and to develop Asset specific relations.

Being a web based platform, it offers seamless communication between team members, specially for global organizations having workspaces across continents.
Process Insights – Powered by Simulations
Simsight
The SimSight target audience is vast, with varied use for personnel having different skillsets. For example, a Process Development team consisting of SMEs and Process Engineers can use SimSight in the following ways:
Analysts / SME(s):
  • Add results generated from computational tools like MixIT
  • Define asset specific correlations – Process Metrics etc.
Process Engineers:
  • Study Process Metrics
  • Analyze flow patterns to compare performance of the asset
  • Visualize PP-PM relationships via Scatter Plots
It’s time for a proactive approach to simplify the process of technology transfer while saving TIMEMONEY and EFFORTS!
